With PHITO, we are lucky to have project sites in some of the world’s leading regions in terms of cultural landscapes and rural tradition. The PHITO Stories offer a unique view into the origins of your food, going beyond what a tourist would typically see. Central in this short documentary is the story of the experienced face and hardened hands of farmers, and how they continue to embody culture and tradition in a modernizing world.

Working towards common goals.
Europe has a great deal of diversity and culinary tradition, as well as cultural landscapes. Yet, we are living in a time of global markets and environmental challenges, while there is a growing demand for resilient food systems.
The European Union is explicitly investing in the sustainability of its food systems, e.g. as laid out in the Farm to Fork strategy in which PHITO is also partly financed.
