Behind every episode of the Phito Stories, there are farmers, innovators and communities shaping the future of food. Over the past weeks we’ve followed rivers in Italy, explored fragmented farmland in Albania, took the Nightjet to talk about the future of agriculture in Europa and we are only halfway! Season 1 of the Phito Stories still have two intresting stories to tell which will launch in the upcoming months.

On 12 May, Phito invites you to Docu & DialogueEvening. During this evening we will watch the final episode together on the big cinema screen of Movie W in Wageningen, get inspired by experts talking on the potential of agriculture in the Caribbean and look ahead at what’s coming next.
What to expect?
Documentary:
In the final episode of Phito Stories season 1, we travel all the way to the Caribbean island of Aruba. There is much potential on the island to grow food, but still 95% of the food is being imported from abroad. What are the possibilities for Aruba to become more self sufficient in terms of food security?
Dialogue
An interesting conversation with our guest expert about challenges and the innovations emerging to meet them. How are islands across the region tackling food security? What does farming look like when land is scarce, the climate is unpredictable and resources are limited?
Innovation
A behind-the-scenes look at the Phito app development. This application is a community-based digital tool being developed with and for small and medium-scale farmers to help them make better decisions and transition to more sustainable practices.
