The LEB is a second-tier consortium established to address the irrigation needs of the three primary consortia within it, achieved through the equitable allocation of water resources. These primary consortia are:
1. Adige – Euganeo (headquartered in Este – PD)
2. Alta Pianura Veneta (headquartered in San Bonifacio – VR)
3. Bacchiglione (headquartered in Padua)
The Lessinio Euganeo Berico Reclamation Consortium oversees the L.E.B. canal, which spans approximately 44 kilometers, servicing an area of 350,000 hectares. Within this area, over 140,000 hectares are potentially irrigable, with around 100,000 hectares currently under irrigation. The district encompasses 103 municipalities across the provinces of Verona, Vicenza, Padua, and Venice in Italy
