Silvia Locatelli is a researcher in the field of agriculture and agri-food systems, currently working at the Consortium LEB, where she focuses on irrigation innovation, sustainable water resource management, and technical–scientific support for agricultural decision-making processes.
Over the years, she has developed solid experience in applied research and European project development, working on topics related to agri-food system sustainability, climate change adaptation, water management, and the multifunctionality of agriculture. Her academic background combines expertise in landscape planning and land management, agricultural sciences, and horticulture.
She obtained her PhD from the University of Padua, where her research focused on improving the sustainability of horticultural production systems through the analysis of innovative production strategies and the optimization of cultivation conditions in protected environments.
Her work integrates research, innovation, and knowledge transfer activities aimed at supporting the development of more resilient, efficient, and sustainable agricultural systems.
