About the València food system.

Agriculture in València, in the Phito food system, is smallholder-based (avg. farm size 1-2 ha), majority part-time farmers, average age 65. SMFs are faced with increasing aridity and seasonal extremes. Adoption of digital technologies is low, mostly due to a lack of awareness about the potential gains. Yet, there is good potential to address this through the 300 cooperatives under project partner CACV.
